Subject: Visiting US from India, Want to Visit Canada Also |
I am currently visiting US from India on a US visitor visa. I have an Indian passport. Is it possible to get a visitor visa for Canada while I am in US?
Will I be able to get a visitor visa for Canada at the embassy in NYC or Washington DC?
Thanks in advance for reply.

(in reply to: Visiting US from India, Want to Visit Canada Also) Theres no such embassy in NYC. Theres a consulate on 6th Avenue.
Bring your pastport along with the custom slip that you got at the airport (they will ask you to show that slip).
They are flexible and nice there, if you meet the right officer. You can get a visa within the morning. Interview is about 10 minutes or so, and you wait about an hour until they call you in to stamp the visa on your passport.
I think its easy in the US since peopled rather stay illegally in the US than Canada.
Dont worry. Go to their website to collect all relevant documents before you visit.
Mazel tov.
