Subject: Renting in British Columbia |

Hi Everyone,
My family and I are expecting to go to Vancouver Island next spring, but I was wondering if there were any pre-requisites for renting a house e.g.
Do I need to prove my income?
Do I need to be in employment?
I don´t expect to have a job straight away, but would obviously need to rent somewhere to live. Does anyone else here have any advice?
Many Thanks!

(in reply to: Renting in British Columbia) In general, to rent a house you need to have the docs that mentioned, at any place. In addition bank balance, credit record..
BUT if you don´t have those then there are alternatives also. Like, if you don´t have enough credit history, employment then you have to deposit more rent in advance.
Most of the Pvt. home owners even don´t care for any credit check, they are more flexible.
