I am a bit confused about the relationship maybe someone can also make their contribution.

What I know if someone´s name, that is a family member is omitted when an application is made for PR in Canada, you cannot use that person´s name.

You may be opening a can of worms here at CIC.

Does anyone has another suggestion?

I do not think Step Uncle will be accepted because CIC would ask for proof of relationship such as birth certificate/marriage certificate of the uncle to prove that there is some kind of blood reltionship.
I am sorry.

I´m pretty sure that you will get the 5 points, since he is your uncle and it can be proved.

Well he is an Uncle and not a Step Uncle.
And as poet says, you will get the 5 points.
