Subject: Bringing money |

I landed last year in Toronto and will be coming back for settlement in November. My question is how much money am I allowed to bring? I read it somewhere that I have to declare it if I bring more than Can $10,000. Does it mean it I will be taxed if I bring more money?
And what is the best way to bring money, cash? travelers check? I am presently in Europe and will be brining Euros.
Thanks for the replies.
Regards

(in reply to: Bringing money) Robin,
Since your are coming for settlement, your funds will not be taxed.
If you bring in excess of CDN$10,000, you have to declare it.
You can bring it in cash or tevaellers checks or a mixture of both.
