| Subject: experience gap |

Hi,
I worked for three years then after that for two years i was not working due to slump. Now again i am working from 5 years. So total experience i have is 8 years. But it should be 10 years if there was no gap.
Now my question will CIC i-e canada immigration authority consider my case with work gap or not. I have no other point then this that this gap is due to IT bubble slump etc.
Please guide.

Hi,
CIC only considers work experience that happened in the past 10 years before you submit your application. It also requires that at least one full year of full time continuous work experience in that time period. On top of that, you will be awarded the maximum points when you have 4 year or more work experience in the qualified occupations.
