Subject: Employement Contracts and Police Certificates |

Allright, Im attempting to immigrate from the USA to Canada, and I have everything ready to go into the mail minus two pieces, section 7 and 12 of the checklist.
Regarding section 7, we seek "Notarized Employement Contracts". Since we are young and have not had many jobs, there is only one I need from my wife´s employer. Unfortunately, the employement contract she signed in the fall was not notarized. I have no idea what to do now regarding this and I am very confused on how we can meet this requirement. We have the contract with everyone´s signatures on it but that is all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
In regards to section 12, "Police Certificates and Clearances", I am wondering what I should send in upon the intital submittal. According to setion B of the checklist:
"Do not request a police certificate from Hong Kong, the United States or Canada until you are instructed to do so by a visa office."
So, if I read this right, I do not need to submit "original police certificates of good conduct or clearances from each country/state/territory in which [we have lived]"?
And secondly, must we still submit original fingerprints directly to Canada, or rather, to the authorities conducting the police checks?
I hope my questions were not too redundant, and yes, I attempted to search quite thouroughly. :( And another one Im sure youve all answered before...if everything is good to go from the beggining, how long will this take on average? Thanks for everyone´s time!
