| Subject: How long can one defer once application approved. |

Hello,
I wanted to know what is the grace period given to applicants once the immigration application is approved at New Delhi. Is there a period like say 1 year or 6 months for individual to wrap up? Also can we request any postponment due to important events like education or job?
Finally is there otherwise option to go to Canada and return to continue here for sometime if above is not allowed?

the window to land is directly impacted by the anniversary date of your medical exam. When they issue you the landing visa you will be advised when the window closes. There are no extensions.
In many instances, people will make the trip to Canada, do the formal landing process, get the appropriate documentation started and then return home to wind up their current situations. Be mindful that there is restrictions on how long you may reside outside of Canada and still hang on to that PR status.
