Subject: When to pay Right of Residence Fee
Hello,
I have not received any request from CIC to pay my Right of Residence fee. I have completed my Medical on August 2nd, 2007. So far I have not seen any update on e-CAS. Will it delay the process if I do not pay the RoR fee in advance? Please advise.

Thanks,
BS

In my case, when I got IA with medical forms, it was requested on the letter to do medicals AND pay the RPRF fees within 90 days.

It looked to me that it was a standard letter and that anyone has to pay that at that time.

Check again your IA letter to make sure that in your case it was not required. I am surprised to hear that. Normally in the list of "documents to be sent" there is a tick mark at the RPRF and also in the cover letter it is in bold letters.

CBV333,

Thank you for your quick reply. Since I have not paid the RPRF earlier, today I received the RPRF request along with passport request. Another quick question.. how much do I need to pay in US dollar? Can I convert 490CAD to US dollar?

Thanks,
BS
