Alberta,
I am a carpenter and have to extend my temporary Visa which ends in dec. 23rd.
I apllied allready for an extension and put an LMO in my letter, but that one was to old human resources says now. That s why I have to get a new LMO and then I can aply for my extension. HOPEFULLY befor the 23rd. of december.

I sent an LMO request for a foreigner that I want to hire and sounds that is taking about 10 weeks for processing.
I am located in Alberta as well.
HRDC is busy busy!

so then I apply in December without LMO and after I apply I can work until they made a dessicion (for 12 weeks). And I can send them the LMO soon as I have it. That?s allows me to work over the 23rd. RIGHT

Up to 10 or more weeks. First time I waited 12 weeks. But it also depends where you apply. I heared that in B.C. it would be faster.

I am presently an ESL student, but I had applied for a hotel job and got it, however, I don`t have LMO which the hotel is applying. My question is that how long does it take to get LMO in BC? and is there anyway to get a LMO faster?
