Marrying a Canadian (in reply to: about marrying a Canadian?????????)
Here are some tips that may help you find the answers you are looking for:

-Marrying a Canadian is not the hardest thing on earth yet still you should take the precautions needed to make sure that you satisfy the needs of immigration that your relationship and marriage is proved genuine and not done for immigration reasons.

- When you travel from the U.S to enter Canada DO NOT tell the immigration officer in the entry port as you come in that you are here to get married when they ask you the reason for visitng Canada. This will create a big fuss you do not need.

-Apply for a marriage license as you normally would any where in the world, I think it takes 7 days to get it. If you are short in time get your husband to be to file for it before you arrive as they only need one person to apply for it not the entire couple.

- Get a priest or Justice of the piece or who ever you want to conduct the ceremony and make all your plans before arriving. Send out invites if you are having a bigger wedding and it is advisable his family and friends attend the wedding. Again make these arrangements befor coming if you do not have a lot of time.

- TAKE PICTURES of the ceremony!! you will need to send these in when you apply for immigration.

- Go on a honey moon if you can afford it and have the time, again take pictures.

-Apply for immigration from outside Canada if that is your choice. Most of the paper work will need to be filled by your husband.

-It takes less time to apply from outside Cananda than from within, though nothing is certain.

- If your husband to be has filed for bankrupcy at any point in his life he cannot sponsor you for immigration period.

- Good Luck :)
