Subject: Question regarding criminal checks
My husband is American and is currently living with me in Canada on a temporary resident permit (visitor record). I am wondering if he needs a criminal check even if I am sponsering him and if there is any way he can get that done within Canada. I am extremely weary of him entering the US because they may not let him back in. :(

I would appreciate any insight on this matter.

Everyone is subject to a criminal check whether they are living in Canada or not.
That can be done in Canada.
