Subject: Immigration fees - Medical issues
Can anyone tell me whether we would receive a full refund of immigration fees if we were turned down in the event of one of us failing a medical. Hopefully this will not be an issue as we consider ourselves to be quite fit for our ages (45 & 38), but it is a lot of money to pay out and lose in the event of something, which to a large degree, is out of our control.

How strict is the medical, eg can you be refused for having a slightly raised Cholesterol level, family history of genetic poor health, or does it have to be a more serious medical condition before they refuse you entry.

Immigration fees are not returned! (in reply to: Immigration fees - Medical issues)
No, Immigration fees are not returnable. They are actually used to finance all immigration processes. Which makes sense. Because whether you come to Canada or not Immigration has to spend some money on your application. Therefore your immigration fees are not returned, whether for medical issues or any other.

Sorry,
Jenet
