Subject: My question (great drama version!)
There is a member of our community who, after being in Canada for a while, left the country so he could applied to come back and marry his Kazakhstan girlfriend, now Canadian (or almost). But she recently broke up with him and is engaged to his Canadian best friend who is saying is going to expose some petty crime the applicant did in N. Africa so CIC denies him the permit.

The guy says he hasn?ft even been to Africa, but his ex-wife was a missionary there and was forced to steal some aspirin for the villagers and he provided the address of the pharmacy that was later robbed by the ex-wife?fs brother-in-law. She had nothing to do with it but the record somehow backtracked to the applicant who now thinks he can claim refugee because of fear of prosecution in Burma, which is where he would be deported if caught in Africa.

So basically, if I did my medicals around 3 months ago for Skilled Worker through Caracas and haven?ft received any notice, letter or email; and the only thing that shows on my ecas is "Processing", should I contact the embassy and enquire or is this normal?

PS: from now on I will use "Yojimbo" as my posting name.
PS2: sorry for asking twice but there was no response for my first one.

I am only going to reply to paragraph 3

I would assume that everything is normal until notified otherwise.

Thanks, I just keep reading that it takes 1 to 2 months and more than that is rare, that after 3 months people should contact the embassy, that a "medical received" should appear in your e-cas, and things like that - hence the worry.

Soooo, I take it the timing is not an issue... right?

I would wait another 30 days before I start to fret. The alternative is to start freaking out and it may be for nothing.

I am a firm believer is remaining positive until you have been told otherwise.
