Subject: minister's conset to return to canada
  hi all,
I was told by immigration officer who is proccesing my application that because i overstayed in canada without valid visa before they can issue visa i have to apply for "minister´s consent to re-enter to canada" and pay $400 fee.I am being sponsored by my wife who is canadian citizen we did oversea aplication for permanent residence. Now i am waiting in country of my birth and my wife is in canada.I have done medical exam and interview and submit all supporting documents. We were told that everything is done i just need to get "minister´s consent" before they can issue visa.Is there anyone who has or had to obtain this "minister´s consent" too.And what are the chances that my request will be refused? Thank you very much for your help

We have only been told to give money and wait and see. On top of it, we have a child and they told us they don´t care about that. I think they do actually take money from immigrants and just keep it. I hate my country. No consideration for children and families.
