| Subject: Parent sponsoship out side Canada |

Hi
I have sponsor my parents on 2005. Now they open file and send me back for income verification.. I was in canada in 2004,2005,2006.
So this 3 years i dont have any problem for income.. But in 2007 i am working in USA so can i show this income for sponsor, I am canadian citizen.
Help would be appreciated.

are you working for a Canadian company?
you may have a problem. I believe you must be residing in Canada to sponsor your parents. Who will be supporting them upon their arrival in Canada?

I am not working for canadian company but my wife is in canada and i am in and out in US for my project.

Your obligation is to pay Canadian Taxes but the US company will be subtracting Income Tax for themselves. Since Rev. Canada and Uncle Sam now share this type of information they will know your earning an income so you must declare same in Canada and fight Uncle Sam for your deductions.
Hope fully your not trying to save $10.00 at the expense of your parents by not declaring income outside of Canada.
If your wife is in Canada and not a co-sponsor it mwans nothing. If she is a co-sponsor and now makes sufficent income to cover the LICO your okay.

Chuck,
As far as I know you can sponsor staying outside of Canada if can meet the min´m income requirement. You have to give an nundertaking that you´ll settle in Canada when they arrive.
For income eligibility, you have to pay tax to Canada every year. Can´t be non-resident Canadians who don´t have to pay tax to Canada.
