  okay

I am in the US. I can do an interview anywhere within US. If I leave I might not get a visa to get back in so I want to be sure that I have everything approved before we leave the US. What options do I have? Manitoba, can they do an interview in the US? I am looking for the fastest, easiest way. I have good tax returns and all but how do I show the legally part. Will tax returns work? A lot of our money is invested in the inventory in our stores, will they need an inventory report or what? Thank you both Roy and Balwant.

You will have to go to Manitoba for an exploratory trip and an interview at the same time before filing your application.

Tax Returns will work to prove that you acquire your wealth legally. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) report on your Fianncial Statements will give credibility to your financial affairs.

Zig, I like to deal with Manitoba but you can still do some investigations on other Provinces.

Roy can assist with the other Provinces.

Okay Balwant you are missing my main issue. I am looking for a way to go to canda in which I would get my final approval for a PR card BEFORE I have to leave the US. Which way can I apply in which I can do my interview and everything within the US? How long of a wait will it be? I really appreciate you guys answering my questions. I am looking for pro help after I know which way to go.. so far very confused...:-((

Dear ZigZag

Roy gave you a lot of information on the Investor program and PEI. I told you about Manitoba and certain requirements.

If you want to speed the process up in less than 9 months you will have to make an exploratory trip, say 5 days, there are no exemptions.

If you do not want to come to Canada for an interview, apply under the Federal Class Entrepreneur program and the waiting should be 3 years. Your interview will be done in the US.

Read Roy´s postings again on the Investors program and study the figures. You can also get information on the CIC website, www.cic.gc.ca.

As I told someone here last week, Business Class applicants must hire a professional to assist them, these applications are not straight forward like Skilled Workers.

Great article Roy. Does Ontario have a PNP program now for business owners too?

Thanks Balwant. So Federal Entrepreneur Program is the way to go for me. Will I have to submit a basic application at this point or will I need to turn in everything? At what point will I need a pro?

Another question:
The businesses we own also have a "goodwill" factor. Is that included in net worth. The value of the business itself not the property or inventory. How do we prove that?

As directed I am on the site right now. The three Quebec business people programs do not require an exploratory visit(not compulsory).. that is what I understand, is that correct? Have you had approvals without an exploratory visit. Gas stations.... thats what we have knack for... are gas station operators successful there?? Would Quebec be a good option. I know montreal can be very cold, I was there for the storm in 1997....brrrrrr.....
