Subject: Any Accounts professionals?Roy, could u help?
Anybody who is from finance/accounts background?I am a CA from India and have 6+ yrs of work experience and am currently in Bahrain as a Finance manager, having applied for immigration.

Just wanted to know whether its difficult to get even a clerical job.I am ok with it, since I know that neither my degree nor my Indian CA will be of any use in Canada.I had also heard about our work assessments that can be done in Canada.Any info on this?

Could someone/Roy be of any help...plz..?

Thanks in advance for all the help!!

I have a friend who´s uncle was an accountant. He moved to Canada could not find a job, took some courses, now according to him (my friend) he is making 80 K.

It worked for him (my friend´s uncle), it may or may not work for you.

Ciao, In Canada they valued only North American Degrees. Doesnot matter if you have a degree from Europe...the bottom line is you have to do some courses.
You can do CGA ( Certified General Accountant) and I am pretty sure you would get some compensation from your CA course cause CGA is granted by an accounting association. There about 18 courses you need to do cost appr. 13000 CAD. But you don´t need to do all since you got a CA. Try this link to learn more www.cga-canada.org. Good luck
