I am interested in Quebec or the federal program. My situation is that I graduated in 2001 from a tech college in graphic designing in the US. Since then I have used my skills within my business(making price sheets, etc), but I have owned my own business (gas stations)not related to my degree. I am looking at the processing times and the business processing times are VERY long. Can I apply in the skilled worker program, as I do have the skills, I will be NEW to canada so I am willing to go there and work (be an employee). Another reason I have not continued doing work in my field is pregnancies and babies..

If you don´t have any experience in your field, applying as skilled worker is difficult/impossible.
Quebec Investor Processing is about the fastest around these days.
