Subject: Should I include spouse in PR now or later
  Hi All,

I am applying for Canadian Visa under Skilled Labour and need an advice from the experts in my case !!!

My wife is pregnant for 1 month. How can this effect my PR process if I include her in my application?

As the timelines of PR process is unclear, will I have to apply again, if I had a baby during the PR process ?

I have all my documents ready and looking for advice on how should I go about, to avoid any delay in the processing.... Should I include her now or later after entering Canada ?

Thanks in advance !!!

Do you mean your applying for a temporary visa as a work permit or are you applying for permanent residence as a Federal Skilled Worker?

The fact that your partner is with child affects neither really. By the time your wife is close to delivering she will have provincial medical coverage if your applying for a work permit.

If your applying for permanent residency your spouse has to pass all checks as well. When the child is born the child will be added to the application. Certain medical tests can not be done at this time anyways and since most Visa posts require a SAP application it makes little sense to leave her off the application.

Hope that explains things
