| Subject: Abandon PR status |
Hi,
I would like to cancel my Canadian PR status (I got a green card and I won´t be living in Canada anymore).
How should I go for it? Is there a process in place, ex. mail back the PR card, forms to fill, etc ...?

Forget about it completely and dont come to Canada and it will automatically expire as you will not meet the requirements of PR.
No specific process to cancel a PR.

There should be specific process.
You most probably won´t have any probelm by doing that, but that doesn´t seem methodical.
As, as a valid PR you have tax obligation to Canada, meaning pay the tax. So better to find a way to avoid any future objection.

CBV is as usual upset. But Raj is 100% correct.
I´m also waiting for GC, but any GC holder wants to cancel his GC I wouldn´t give him any hard look.
CBV, just a few more days....then you´ll be in Canada also.

Agree with you guys.
I am upset on behalf of all applicant who is eagerly waiting their PR (including myself), is my right too ?!. I guess if I win the GC at the lottery, I will also throw it away :)
