I helped my father filing for asylum for my mom, brothers and for himself. My dad lives in Montreal and the rest of the family is in Africa. The Canadian embassy in Cote D´Ivoire is in charge of handling the case.
Although the State of Quebec granted my dad the Refugee status we are still waitting to hear from the Canadian embassy or Imigration. Can someone, please, advise me on what to do next. I am getting desesperate. It has been five years already. In January of 2001 my brothers met with a woman from the Canadian embassy in Kinshasa RDC. She took their birth certificates. Since then she hasn´t not been accessible.
