Subject: pls help me!
Hi everyone! babu here from philippines. im here to ask some important questions regarding my application for permanent resident visa.
I applied for tourist visa 1 year ago and got denied. I got married last Oct. 6, 2007 and my husband will sponsor me so we?re gonna apply for permanent resident visa. Now my questions are 1. does my previous tourist visa application affects my permanent resident visa application? the thing is, it was his mom who invited me b4 and we didnt even mention about my him, since b4, he was just moved to victoria and financially incapable to invite me, so we had decided then that its best if his mom who will invite me since she is financially stable. 2. what are some of the medical issues that will affect visa application 3. What are the usual things that will affect application for PR visa.
We have all the proof that our relationship is real, like emails, chatlogs, video and phone calls, pictures of our wedding and honeymoon. 4. What are my chances to have a PR visa?
Because im married to a canadian, and im sure that our relationship is genuine, 5 . Should i just worried of when it will approve or is there any chances that ill get denied?
I really hope for you guys to answer my questions above, I would really appreciate it.
THANKS and GOD BLESS!

Morning Babu

#1 No it will not affect your PR application.
#2 Too many medical issues to list you should say I have this or that will that affect my application.
#3 The key issues is showing a bond between the two of you. Anything that shows you are staying intouch or visiting while the application is in process but the bond is key.
#4 Very good if you prove it is a genuine marriage.
#5 Of course there is a chance it could get denied by embellishing or not explaining something clearly but relax spousal sponsorship is the fastes way to obtain PR status from your Visa Post.

Hello Babu;

Answers to your questions and concerns.
1. Yes your tourist visa application will be considered along with your application for Permanent Resident status. The visa is what says a person is not a permanent resident yet.

2. Medical Conditions list that affect applications to immigrate are available at your country´s consulate or embassy or the nearest Canadian consulate or embassy. No person can influence your application and its information in it. Make sure you won´t be a burden on Canada´s Social Service Net - you have to be able to be self supporting and not collect a disability pension or other government benefit or handout except preliminary medical assistance if need be.

3. Check out immigration information on the internet, at your country´s consulate, nearest Canadian consulate, written materials from your government or Canada.

4. Your chances to get a visa that says you are not yet a Permanent Resident or to get Permanent Resident status is not good if your application contains inaccurate or outright untrue information. Sponsorship is a different class of immigration than applying as a couple immigrating together to Canada. Your husband´s mother cannot be your sponsor to immigrate to Canada.

5. Yes, worry if you don´t tell the truth on your application to immigrate to Canada.

Good Luck.

PR card holder wants to marry and Bring Bf here in Canada (in reply to: pls help me!)
hi this maria, I am PR card holder, I want to go home to the Philippines to marry the bf so he and I can live here. Is it much better to marry him at Canadian embassy in the Philippines so the application is faster. Another, is it possible I will just stay with him in the Philippines and wait for the lift of the application, or after marriage just go back here and wait for the lift of application, what is much faster. Lastly, what are the requirement that I need to have for the application, do I need to have a proof of income that im capable of supporting him here in Canada. Thank you very much and I hope for you early response--------Maria

1)getting married at the Canadian embassy makes absolutely nothing faster
2)you must be in Canada to sponsor him. He will need to wait in the Philippines until the process is finished - about a year.

start reading www.cic.gc.ca family class sponsorship.
