Hello!
I am very stressed and confused, and do not know where to start.
First off, I am 26 years of age, female, born and raised in Canada. My fiancee, is 28 years of age, born and raised in Germany. Our wedding is planned for July 30th of this year in Croatia (we are both of Croatian background). My fiancee holds a Croatian passport, but has permanent residency in Germany. We are looking to live in Canada.
The problem is - my wedding is July 30th in Croatia, but I am having a wedding reception here in Canada on November 13th. My fear is that my soon to be husband will not be able to attend the reception here.
My fiancee is coming to Canada on a visitors visa in May, and we are looking to get married over here in City Hall, just so we can speed up the paperwork for PR in Canada - so he can be here by October / November.
Can you please give me any advice. I really do not know where I should start.

Draga Dijana,
I think there shouldn´t be any problems, simply because you guys are getting married and normally Canadian Immigration does not make to many problems to people like that. Why? Because according to the current legislation you are allowed to bring your fiance here. So Spousal sponsorships are one of the easiest to process.
Good luck and being confused is just normal for so many things happening when you are getting married.

Your spousal sponsorship is a quite difficult process and you should prepare it properly. Take some time and work out as many options as you can and then choose the best one that works the best for YOU.

Hello,
I´m a canadian citizen,a Nigerian by birth,I sponsored my
wife last year july,I recieve a letter from the embassy
in Ghana,West Africa.Stating my wife will be scheduled
for an interview,I´ve been waiting patiently since then.
It as been very stressful and frustrating for my wife
and I,I´ll be returning to Nigeria in december to have
a reception and a traditional wedding party.
My wish is that we will be returning together,I´m working
with my MP.
I´m so tired of the process and it seems there´s just
nothing i can do.
