Subject: back to $1.06 - whew! |
Manufacturers are saying it is not enough but at least some sanity has returned to the market. Price of oil and gold seem to be the reasons.

(in reply to: back to $1.06 - whew!) You can say that again. .90 USD was just mind boggling.

(in reply to: back to $1.06 - whew!) What about Chavez´s idea of a two type of country price for poorer and one for richer countries. Hard to argue against it if your from a richer country!
As soon as he sells oil for $20.00 US per barrel to one of his neighbors they turn around and sell it to the States for 3 or 4 times that price and still the States would be saving.
Is there madness in his methods???

(in reply to: back to $1.06 - whew!) Liek many conspiracy theories, I recently heard another one regarding this dollar issue.
This theory says, the recent hike/down of US/cad $ is more artificial to start a similar currency like Euro for US/Canada/Mexcio.
Does it sound reasonable? I´ve no idea about it.

(in reply to: back to $1.06 - whew!) there has been rumours for years on this one. Information I am hearing would suggest Canada would prefer to be tied to the Euro rather than the US dollar
I don´t think Canada is jumping up and down at the prospect.

(in reply to: back to $1.06 - whew!) I don´t know the reason of Canada´s inclination towards Euro.
However, personaly I don´t think that day is nearby, either Same dollar or dollar/Euro.
