Subject: work permit to landed immigration

I am working in Canada under the post graduation employment program. I started to work from this August. And my work permit will be valid till May 2009.

As a next step, I want to apply for PR. When would be the best timing to apply for it? I am apply under skilled worker category so should I have least one year of work experience at the point of the application? or at the point of interview?

And usually how long it will take to have an interview from the application?

JUST one more question, do I have to apply in immigration office in Buffalo? AS you see I do not have much information ^^; please help!

CIC is claiming they will be launching an IN Canada PR process for all persons on work permits or student permits in 2008.

They have been claiming that for a decade but it appears real.
