Subject: Statutory declarations |

Hello,
In order to proof my relationshop to my Canadian girlfriend, who is sponsoring me, I need two or more statutory declarations from individuals with personal knowledge of our relationship supporting our claim that the relationship is genuine and continuing.
I´m applying from The Netherlands.
Does anybody know if those statuatory declarations need to be made in the country where you applying from, signed by the applicant´s friends and/or family or can they be made in Canada, signed by the sponsor´s friends and/or family?

(in reply to: Statutory declarations) Hi Roy,
Thank you for responding.
In the appendix A, document checklist- Immigrant it says that I need the two statutory declarations I mentioned above.
IMM 5409 needs to be filled in if the sponsor has a co-signer and you both sponsor a person, right?
In my case my girlfriend is my sponsor so I don´t need to fill in IMM5409, do I?
Going back to the original question, do the people that I´m asking to make a declaration need to do it in Holland or in Canada?
