| Subject: Police clearance for last 10 years |

Dear Sir,
I am a main applicant for SW migration program. On 5/8/2007
submitted all requested docs except my husband´s police clearance from UAE.( Applied for the clearance but not provided by UAE police yet.)
I received a letter from Canadian High Commission asking for my husband´s police clearance for last 10 years.
Could you please any body let me know
1) Is it OK to cover the period from 30/11/2007? Then he need to
cover the period 30/11/1997 - 30/11/2007, Is that correct?
2) During above period he did not stay consecutive 6 months in UAE.
30/11/2007 -6/5/1998 - 5 months 6 days in UAE
7/5/1998 - 23/9/1998 - 4.5 months Sri lanka
28/9/1998 - 21/2/1999 - 5 months in UAE
For all other period he has clearance from Sri Lanka and UK.
and already submited.
In this situation do we need to submit UAE clearance since he din not stay more than 6 months in UAE?
We are at the last stage of processing and your valuable advise is much appreciated .

SRI, I am curious to know what happened to your application... where are you at this point? I mean at which point in the process? How do you know you are in the last stages of the process... I applied from UAE as well back in Aug 2005 and it is just now that we´ve been asked to get the medical tests done! If you just applied in August of this year.. you still have a long way to go! I am afraid...
With regards to your UAE police report... I don´t understand your question very well ... if you apply for the police report here... you will get it until this date... I mean if you go to the police station to ask for a police report from here... you do not need to give specific dates or periods of time in or out of the coutry.. they will not give you a police report from Feb to April and another one from June to August for example... all they need is your husbands name, pictures and finger prints and they will check if he has a criminal record or not... simple!
Now, if there is something wrong or something you do not want the police reports to show that´s a different story... I am afraid the police report will be a general thing including any past history of your husban in the UAE...
