Subject: visitor's visa for my mom
My dad died last year, and since then i am trying to get my mom to visit me. I have tried five times, and they keep rejecting stating they are not convinced that she will return to her country of origin. The only way they said I could unite with her is if I sponsor her, which I know will take 5 years. Any suggestions or words of advice?

You messed up five times on her CVV application!!! You do not state what the reason for the visitor visa was or what evidence your mother would show as a valid reason to return to her country or what that country is.

Then you want a mgic solution, Maya come on. Details is what makes an application be approved or refused.

I would suggest you to go for for the sponsorship. Eventually she´ll need that. I don´t see any hope for visitor visa after being rejected for 5 times.

Get sick or get pregnant and call her to take care of you and if you are eligible to sponsor, do fill the application as it is easy to get visitor visa when your immigration application is already in process. Apply for multile visa and show some ties back home to prove that she will go back after temporary visit as her application for immigration is already in process.

Thank you (in reply to: visitor's visa for my mom)
Hi everyone:

Thank you for yr time suggestions.

The first 4 times was when I was getting married in 2005. The last time was when my dad died in 2006. I have submitted all supporting docs but to no avail.

The last time I applied was after I had applied for a ponsorship, but no success.

Don´t know what to do. I could get sick or pregnant, but this too may not work... If death did not make a difference I wonder if illness or pregnancy will...

Thx Maya

I live in Canada for 3 years, my mother visited me 3 times during those years. I was then married and she was/still a working widow. I´m her only child. These circumstances never changed. But on her 4th time i was seperated and they rejected her visa. In addition my X sent them an anonymous letter, saying she will stay in Canada and apply for a refugee status. Because he was an abusive husband and he´s trieng to get me out of his way and by doing this he hopes i´ll be forced to go back home. The Candian embassy back home (Egypt) sent her the standard refusal letter along with the tip letter. I see this promising, cause maybe they want her to proof the opposie.
In the previous accepted visas, my mother never submitted more than a letter of her job, proof of funds ( almost 5500 CAD$), invitation letter, another prof of funds and job letter from my behalve. The same was when she got rejected.
I´m planing to get her to re-apply. This time, providing proof of properties, a car, more funds, family tree and another job letter stating how they realy depend on her and expecting her to come back. I´m using the help of my MP as well and they currently trieng tocontact the embassy to get more details on the reason of refusal.
Finally, i´m writing because i need anyone to give me any hope. Does it sound like it´ll work ?!

Thanks for your time.
Sarah
