Subject: Where should I move ?
I am considering moving to Canada next year. I dont have any relatives or family there. I am spending time researching where I want to be in Canada, if I move.

Where do people like to move generally? What are the affordable areas in Canada to move ?

hi sheena

generally new immigrants move to ontario or alberta province.the reason being there are more job opportunities in these areas and prospects of finding job are higher in these provinces as compared to others.
however do keep in mind that cost of housing and living is higher here.

hope that helps a bit.

I am a freelancer so cost of living is important to me and of course quality of life. Job market not so much.

I guess many people suggest ontario becasue of the better job availability. But in my case what are my choices ?

thanks.

Construction worker, welder, carpenter, engineer, etc. - definitely go to Alberta. Cost of living is high, but salaries are very high. A construction worker will have no problem getting a job - there is a severe shortage throughout the province.

The main problem is housing crisis (at least here in Edmonton). People are coming faster than they can build housing for them (and they are building a lot of it!)

Avoid Vancouver (in reply to: Where should I move ?)
Vancouver is very expensive, salaries tend to be low and it is a City that tries to pose as a World Class City but you do not really get quality services... though they charge you World City prices for many services.
