Did anyone do this?
I don´t have a valid stamp on the passport and I like to make use of this rule...
Doesn any one have experience or heard any story about it?

(in reply to: Re-entering the states without a valid stamp..Read) If you aren´t of certain listed countries then without visa stamping, you can re-enter into the US from US or Mexcio within 21 days if have valid status. Your expired visa has to be the same status.
Example:
If you have F-1 expired and you are currently on H-1, then it won´t work. You have to a new H-1 visa.
If have expired F-1; but have valid I-20 then you can take this advantage.
If have expired H-1 visa, but currently on 4th or more H-1 period then also eligible.
It works fine for many...
Be on the safe side may visit the US immigration post before leaving the US and have you on their system.

(in reply to: Re-entering the states without a valid stamp..Read) no..the visa stamp and status not necessary to be of the same category
if u have an expired stamp of B-1 and your status is F-1..you can do the automatic revalidation as long as you meet the other requirements.

(in reply to: Re-entering the states without a valid stamp..Read) This is kind a grey area.
Depends on the immigration officer and specially what passport you are holding.
I saw refusal with different category expired visas so wouldn´t suggest this for all.
Also, it is not within 21 days, 30 days. Keep some record of your staying less than 30 days.
Also DO NOT surrender your I-94 while leaving US.
Have the current I-20/proof of current Status, job verification letter from your office handy.
