i am Nigerian married to a Canadian lady. she is sponsoring me for PR.we´ve submitted all necessary documetation and paid all the necessary fees. my online status says "in process", "medical recieved", "processing started on the 20TH of october 2007". my question here is how long would it take for the process to be rounded up or for me to be invited for an interview.and how true is the assertion that the cic normally does not want a spousal application to exceed a year after the medicals date before the immigration is rounded up.i did my medicals in march 2007. should i look forward to getting the immigration process over before march mext year?

it will take longer then that i´m sure, you can look at the time estimates on the CIC website, I believe its around 8 months which would put you about June, but that is an estimate..

I will try to be nice when I reply to your situation but.....
When you ask a question you have to give details to get an informed answer.
-where and how is your application being processed, Inland or Overseas?
-when you state you submitted all the necessary documents you mean?
-did you and your partner write a page and a quarter 12 font letter why your relationship is genuine and going to continue as noted at the bottom of your questionnaire?
-How many relationship photos were submitted?
-did any of your or your partners Canadian or Canadian PR write a letter to attest to the bona fides of your relationship and attach their status documents?
-if you are in seperate countries have you submitted phone bills or are you still using phone cards.
IF YOU ONLY SUBMITTED THE NECESARRY DOCUMENTS EXPECT AN INTERVIEW! Sorry
