| Subject: Is it safe to inquire about spousal sponsorship? |

It´s been 3 months since I´ve applied for my husband for spousal sponsorship from the Philippines to Canada. Cdn.Immig. in Philippines got all the required documents and they took my husband´s passport about 1 month ago. My questions are:
1. When is the right time to inquire about your file? I´ve gone to the Cdn.Immig site and they have percentages of files being approved within 3 months, 4 months, 5 months etc..I just want to know when is the SAFE TIME to ask or inquire.
2. I´ve heard stories that it´s not safe to inquire via letter or phone because they (Cdn.Immig.) can actually make the processing of your file worse or make you wait longer, is this true or has anyone encountered such incident?
3. When and what exact day do the CIC on-line services actually get updated? I´ve read somewhere it gets updated once a week but does anyone know what day actually? I´m just curious coz if they only update once a week, does their site/server limit them to a specific day?
Reason why I´m asking is that I´ve been checking the site everyday, sometimes 2x a day, it would help to know if I should only check on a specific day.
4. Since the CIC located in the Philippines already asked and received my husband´s passport, does that mean he´s not going to have an interview anymore?
What are the chances of him being called for an interview as oppose to not being called?
I´ve heard great news that once they´ve asked for your passport, you only need to wait for them to send you a letter to inform you about when to get it with your visa..is this true or has someone had the same experience as this or even an opposing experience.
I just want to know the odds .

Stop worrying!
Your Canadian if you want to call the Embassy do so. Family reunification being a cornerstone of the Immigration Act. They have already requested the passport things seem to be progressing well based on your posting. Pesteing them will not happen either and only three months is not a long wait period.
Have you ever heard of the phrase "watched pots never boil"!
Keep busy doing something different and all will be fine very, very soon.

Thanks Roy...I´m just a little excited and anxious when he´s going to be here because we now have a 4 month old baby. He missed to experience my pregnancy and I don´t want him to miss the experience of seeing his baby grow.

Been there done that, probably you will here something before Christmas. Send them a fax and ask for a Christmas present, ask them to open their hearts because you applied the correct way.
I am pretty sure Santa reads those faxes keep it short.
