Hi we´re thinking of making the big move to Canada from the UK, any of you out there got advice on what to do or not to do ? We´ve spent quite a bit of time doing research on the net, and we´re thinking of going for a holiday in the near future just to get a feel for what is available, but anything you can tell us would be useful. Neil my husband is a qualified Carpenter and i am a local government officer, i manage older peoples housing. As far as we´re aware we would qualify. Anyway, thanks for listening

(in reply to: Making the move from Uk to Canada) Carpenter??? get his butt over here. BC please. You can likely get a work permit or a Provincial Nominee designation

(in reply to: Making the move from Uk to Canada) I suggest especially if your a finisher come on over search the Federal government job bank and in Ontario, Alberta or BC that is the only place they have to advertise to obtain you a work permit with the LMO.
Ontario will allow both of you to apply for landing while working here so will AB and BC.
