hi everybody! marnelle here from philippines.
I just wanna ask from you guys how much is the total application fee in applying permanent resident visa under spousal class.
do we need to pay the right for residence fee, sponsorhip fee and the principal application fee at the same time?
and also, how many months for the processing of the application.

i hope u can help me guys.

it´s an approximately $1,000 Cdn. if i´m not mistaken..
it´s better if you pay everything up front so that the processing is continous and they don´t have to remind you hence would delay your application processing..
the exact amount is on the application form also make sure you read it carefully how you can pay it....
from the philippines..it´s within 4 to 8 months depending if they ask you for an interview... those are the last info i got..i´m still waiting for my husband´s visa to be released..we´ve only been waiting 3 months though.

hope this helped a bit :)
good luck !

It depends greatly on were you will be submitting your spousal sponsorship application and that particular visa Post processing times. Beijing or New Delhi being just a couple months Eva would be correct.

Not sure of Manilla processing times but lets assume one year for certain posts.

Application fee $550.00 has to be paid upfront.

Right of Permanet Residency Fee (RPRF) when approved $490.00 why give the Canadian government $490.00 upfront if they take a year to allow you to sleep under the same roof with your spouse. Plus slow processing would also require he/she to do new unecessary medicals again if only that visa post work faster in processing spousal sponsorships.

You should be concentrating on proving the bond between the two of you instead of the important money issue! Focus on getting the interview waived by proving the relationship.

thank you so much eva and roy. but your answer is quite opposite guys and im kinda confuse right now of which to follow. eva is right and roy is right also. well, maybe ill just pay it all upfront so there will be no delays.
As to proving the the relationship, well we all have the proofs but can i ask is there anything i can do for them to waive any interview?

Thanks again eve and roy.
God Bless!

i don´t think you can do anything about the interview..it´s up to their discretion..they can pick and choose whoever they want..

by the way..Roy´s answers are more valid since he´s a professional at these stuff.. :)
I was just basing my answer from what i went through..

good luck!!!
