Does anyone know if digital photos are acceptable for the immigration process?
If we must have photos from a negative can we have a friend take them, or do they have to be done by a photographer?

You can do your own digital photos, but they must meet the exact requirements (size, clarity, and background).
One possible problem with this is that they require one of the photos to show the date the photo taken by the processing hardware. Not all visa offices require this, however. Check the photo instructions they sent you to be sure if this is your case.

Yes Paul post yr comment if u get a way..
even i am thinking of doing it myself digitally. and then get print using epassport photo .com as it is costing much
