| Subject: Police Clearance |

I live in the USA and am looking to immigrate to Canada.
Do I have to do the Police Clearance through the Indian Consulate in the US or can I just get it from the Police or Passport office in India?
The Indian Consulate process is long and they will hold onto my passport till that time. So wondering if I should just get the PCC from India which might be easier as I am going there for holiday.
Any help on this is appreciated!

If you know there´s an easier route to get the Indian Police Clearance, why not go that way? Why do you have to ask? It´s the same clearance right? Just 2 different processes to get it?

just go to embassy and apply for pcc .getting from india is difficult .u can do nline also .

I am currently residing in Canada on Temparary work permitand and i want to apply for immigration from canada,I need a police certificate from China. I had stayed in China, Shanghai for more than two years.I Would appreciate if someone tells me about how do I apply for the Police clearance certificate. Thanks.
