| Subject: Passport misplaced at BUF? |

Hi everyone, I posted this on the immigration.ca forums too but wanted to get the opinion of people on this board. So my passport was delivered on November 30th to the following address:
Canadian Consulate General
Immigration Regional Program Center
3000 HSBC Center
Buffalo NY 14203
Today, I get an email (in response to one I had sent) saying that they haven´t received my passport yet. However, the fedex tracking webpage shows it was signed for by a receptionist ´H.CARLAND´. Apart from replying to them with the detailed tracking information, what else can I do? I would really hate to lose my passport!

Probably you are worried over nothing. It takes time for different departments to be updated so wait and see whether your e-cas changes or not.

Yeah that´s possible..but it´s been about two weeks since it got there. Shouldn´t they have some record of my passport´s arrival on their system?

Print the Postal receipt, scan it and e-mail it.
Send your e-mail to multiple departments.
This should do it.

Hmmm...could you elaborate? Which multiple departments are you referring to? As far as i know, there´s only one email address you can contact them at...

I would not bother them for no reason. If you know through Fedex that it has been received then you are fine.
There must be tons of passport lined up for stamping. Just relax and wait. You are almost done. They are known for not updating their system regularly.

H. CARLAND signed for all my courier PODs at Buffalo.
Did they send you the e-mail for passport not received on their own or to your e-mail asking status ?
If they sent on their own following it up with you .... then you reallay have to worry.. & think of next steps.

Wow YJ that´s a huge relief. I had sent them an email on the 10th of this month inquiring if my passport had been received. In response to that, I got a one line reply saying "Your passport has not yet been received". Anyway I have sent them the proof of delivery (with a signature) and hopefully they should be able to find it... Thanks for your input!
