Subject: canadian PR and marriage
I am a canadian PR for over a year and residing in Canada and would like to marry my girlfriend who is an Indian citizen. Can I apply for her ? How do I apply for her? Should I get married in India and then I apply for her immigration? Or should she come to Canada then we get married? which would be advisable?

I would recommend marrying in India. It will mean you coming back to Canada on your own to initiate the sponsorship process but it is significantly quicker than an inland application. To add to the drama... it may prove difficult for your fiance to obtain a visa.

www.cic.gc.ca is the place to get started. read everything pertaining to family class sponsorship and you will likely want to ask us a few more questions.
