Subject: Refugee, Prosecution vs Persecution
Any person arriving in Canada trying to make a refugee claim based on the fact that they are fleeing persecution for crimes committed will be found not eligble to make a refugee claim.

Hi Roy, I need help, I do not what to do.... in my case, I am a canadian citizen, my family live in ecuador, my dad is a lawyer, he was defending somebody in a case where the corruption, persecution, life threaten, etc. is been involve, few times a group of mens follow him with insults, they threatened him that they will follow him on every moment, that they know what he does, where he is, where he live and his family (my mom, sisters, nephew). I feel scared for them. Can they come ? He report this people to the police, but I am scared because in ecuador there is not security, the dellincuence is high now days, for little money, people sell themselfs. the law is suborn all the time, bad people do bad things, now days in ecuador these people hired assasins, killers, they called "sicarios", I am afraid, please help me!!!
I have no family here en canada, all of them are in ecuador. please give me an advise.
