I have been told to send the passport within 60 days and it is written in the letter that the first name and the surname should match what is was wriiten on the form when i applied canada immigration..The thing is my first name is written as KaranVir Singh on the passport the surname is blank on the passport and when i applied immigration i wrote on all the CHC forms that my first name is KAranvir and the surname is singh..Plz help

We had this problem with a person who entered Canada as a minor then got married was approved then needed to submit the Passport.
He wanted to change his middle given name from Paul on the forms to PAL. You will understand it is the same but.....
All of his names that he had on his passport were given names because of the way the Indian authorities view Kaur and Singh.
Previously CIC would not accept either name as a sir name but now they do. They will clearly understand the circumstances and will look at additional documents like birth certificates. R the names correct on those forms?

I have been requested for passport submission for the immigration skilled visa,2 recent photographs and a updated information form to be submitted to the london office within 60 days..My problem is that when i applied for my canadian immigration i wrote my first Name as Karanvir and Surname as Singh.Now i have seen on my passport my first name is written as Karanvir singh and surname is blank..with my passport request i have been told by CHC to submit a updated form in which i have to write my first name,surname,passport number,passport expiry, height and eye colour..It has been mentioned in the letter that whatever names i mention in the updated letter should match the names written in my passport.Could you plz help me in the regards as i wrote on all canadian immigration forms my first name as Karanvir and surname as singh and now on my passport my surname is written with my first name,WHAT SHOULD I WRITE ON MY UPDATED INFORMATION FORM... i would appriciate your views and kind help..
