Hi,
I have just received letter from Canadian High Commission in Islamabad, that my visas are ready for issuance and i have to submit passports to the visa office. The problem is that the letter is dated 30 Nov, 2007, while i received the letter on 31st of december 2007 through lawyer. My lawyer informed me on 27th of december about the letter but i dont know when did my lawyer receive the letter from the visa office. Now in the letter they have mentioned that i have to respond to the letter within 30 days and send passports within 30 days i.e 30th of december or they will close my file. Its 31st december now so i have crossed the deadline. I m quite worried now, because i will be sending passports and other details after 30 days deadline? I want to know if someone else too had similar experience. Is visa office very strict in this? Do they really close file and cancel visas if not responded within the specified time limit? I m very perplexed at this situation. Hope to get response from you people soon. My medical exam took place on 5th of nov 2007.

have your lawyer courier the passports with a covering letter and I think everything should be OK - but do it ASAP.
If you know your file number... do it yourself. Express Courier (double registered if you can so you know it was received)
