EXTENTION OF VISA (in reply to: Submission of visa from Buffalo)
I am a temporary skilled worker from SRI LANKA, residing and working in Bonnyville Alberta as a meat cutter at "Sobeys".
My work permit is for 2 yrs. and expires on 28th Nov 2009.
My employer wishes to extend my work permit.
My VISA stamped in COLOMBO by the Canadian High commission expires on 23rd Oct 2009.
I have a few questions
1. How do I set about getting my work permit extended?
2. Do I have to apply seperately to extend my VISA?
3. If so will the VISA be stamped on my Passport?
4. How long does it take to process the work permit and
Visa extention applications?
5. How do I set about the whole process?
6. If I wish to travel to Sri Lanka before the expiration
of my VISA (in the month of April)do I have to extend my work permit and Visa before that?
I would appreciate a quick reply
