Subject: Canadian 5 month visit to the US |
Hi
I´m a Canadian Citizen planning to visit my son in California for a 5 month stay. Do I need any kind of visa to be visiting for this length of time? If not a visa, then what documentation?
Thank You

(in reply to: Canadian 5 month visit to the US) You are OK upto 6 months per entry as a visitor.
Usually as a citizen no docs is needed, to be on the safe side, may carry your office ID or a letter stating you are on a vacation or so...Just to be on the safe side. They´ll ask you your purpose, lenght, where will you stay..what do you do such questions.

Medications (in reply to: Canadian 5 month visit to the US) Thanks for the help. I have another question: I´m on medications, none of them are narcotics. Can I get a 5 month supply from my doctor and take them with me? Is a prescription from a Cdn doctor honored in the U.S.? Will this raise any red flags if I put my meds supply in my luggage?
Thank you
