Hi All,
I am Rahul, working in USA as IT consultant on H1B visa since 6 years.I got My canadian PR Card in oct 2006. I just visited Canada and got PR card SIN card and came back to USA since i have nice and cool job.I had address in Toronto. I would like to maintain status as I work in USA. DO I need to pay taxes on world amount as I earned in USA. I do pay taxes in USA.First of all How I show canadian government to count my days while I was working in USA . PLease help me out. I would like to proceed on your advice.

you will need to show 2 years residency out of 5 from the day you landed in Canada in 2006. No real options.

Sharon is correct. No other legal way.
Also, you are liable to pay tax to Canada for your US income unless you file non-residency status, which as a PR I doubt you can.

There is a way,I heard somewhere - Start a business in Canada. Start a IT consulting firm in Canada and then come to US as a consultant of your company.

Yes, Paalov, that is possible. Don´t forget about the tax issue, and more importantly US IRS and Tax Canada share their data..so be very careful. I heard a case of GreenCard refusal on the basis of tax fraud to Canada by US INS.
My honest advise, don´t put your feet on 2 boats. I did it once and had to pay a lot. chose either one and stick onto it.
