| Subject: Friend has US green Card... can he come to Canada? |

Hello, TIA for any information you can provide me. My friend is a citizen of Morocco. He won the US Green Card Lottery, and now has his green card. Will he be able to come visit me here in Canada? What is the process for this? I know he will still need a visa, but is it a difficult endeavor at this point?

He doesn´t need any Visa. As a US Green card holder he just has to cross the border and some routine questions by the immigration officer. That´s it.

Yup! My mum had a green card and used that to enter Canada.

Richard,
It used to be that way, PRs from Canada were able to cross the border with their landing immigrant document and a Passport.
The US changed this policy about 5 years ago.
