Subject: Application Rejected for Sponsoring Mother
  Hello,

I submitted a application about two years ago to sponsor my mother only to find out this week that she was rejected due to low income which was four years ago. I was told that the application was sent to kingston Jamaica for processing as per my request, my question is now that I have a good job for the past three years will they take my current salary into consideration and what are the chances of her getting through.

Hi Melisa,
My friend had similar situation and he wrote a letter to immigration and they have reviewed his profile and accepted his parents.

SO, it should work the same for you.
Good luck.
Da.

Your posting is illogical.

You only applied two years ago to Mississauga CPC to be assessed then how come your income four years ago got you rejected?

First Mississauga CPC approves you as a sponsor then they transfer the file to Kingston Jamaiaca CHC to be assessed.

Were you ever approved as a sponsor?

Regardless of the LICO you have to be in compliance at all times prior to your parents being Landed. You sign a form stating that they can check when ever they want regarding income. If you cheat on your taxes (like most Canadians)and do not disclose sufficent income to meet the LICO your shooting yourself in the foot.

All you can do is file an appeal. Write a letter to whom???? Miss. CPC or CHC Kingston. The issue is Black and White either you meet the LICO or you do not meet the LICO.

Answer the question regarding the time frame, Please.

Roy,

I was asked to submit pay stubs from 2004 to 2005 along with option C print outs.

The letter stated that I was ineligible to sponsor my mother due to my income, I do not know if this means I was approve or not but I was told that my mother will have to fill out another application and send it to Kinsington for processing. What this means for her I do not know I was just curious, I need to know if they will be basing there decision on my past income without taking the current income into consideration.

Hi;

If ur mother is the only relative left out in kingston, then u can write to CHC in Kingston to consider your mothers case on the ground of humanitarian and compassionate

What this means is that your not approved unless you can come up with additional income for the years in question. Normally a could guess would be $700.00 in Taxes for every $10,000.00 worth of income.

I had person from the office next door in a similair situation her co-sponsor her spouse went back to school. Their income dropped below the LICO he then claimed that he was fixing computers on the side and ammended his Income and they approved the parent.

Without seeing the actual letter I can not comment further.

Now that I was told that a another application will be mailed out to me to send to my mother for her to fill it out and send it to the CHC in Kingston, how long is the processing time? Is it included from the time they start processing the application here in Canada or does this mean we have to start all over from scratch again?

Another question if I sent in a sponsorship application form here why does she need to fill out another one there?

There is two applications one to approve you and one your parent. You failed but they have to complete the process.

I know its illogical.

Fix the income for 2004 & 2005 or waste another three years and your mother will be refused.

Your choice or write a letter that will make little difference the law is the law.
