Subject: Landing fee
Hello all, today i got the letter from london office to make a bank draft for the sum of 980 for me and my wife´s landing fee. The immigration consultant (in dubai) told me that i dont have to pay for my two kidds (2 years old and 6 months old). The consultant also told me that once the london office receives the landing fee, then they will send me the request for passport submission. I was under the impression that the landing fee is requested along with the passport request only? Is this the correct procedure? I also wanted to know, how long will it take for the passport request after i submit the landing fee? Does this mean that the background chk is complete? I did medicals about 4 months ago. Applied from Dubai. Thankyou very much for ur help.

RPRF - landing fees is only to be paid by Adults.
It can also be paid with the Application Processing fees initially. If application is rejected then CIC will refund RPRF fees.
I was asked to pay my RPRF fees alongwith my IA letter.

Your case seems you are very clse to receive your letter for Passport Request.

You are getting close! congratulations!... I was asked to pay our RPRF when they asked to get medicals done... I am in Abu Dhabi... so, I guess it is normal to send payment now... if they did not ask for any additional document or for anything else...that means you are almost done! they will ask you to send your passports after few months and issue your visas... and yes... in the instructions manual on how to pay fees they clearly state that only adults pay for the RPRF and not children (dependents) under 22 years of age... so good luck to you!
