Subject: Canadia Citizen Sponsoring US Wife
  Hi,

I moved to the US to live with my wife while she completes her education. I received my green card last year. We are now planning to move back to Canada as we had always intended.

I will sponsor her but am supposed to provide proof I plan to relocate to Canada. I live only a few hours from where we plan to live in Canada, and I work from home, so I don´t have a job contract or anything. Also, how could I provide a lease or purchase a house before I know when the immigration will go through? Does anyone have experience on what kind of proof we can submit that will satisfy them? We intend to get everything in order once the immigration is done, and it shouldn´t take long.

As a Canadian Citizen you have the privilege of sponsoring your wife while staying outside of Canada. You just have to sign an undertaking stating that you´ll relocate into Canada upon completion of her process.

Forgive my ignorance, but what exactly would the undertaking entail?

Would a signed letter be sufficient or should it be notarized?

Thanks very much for your help.

I have the same question, what exactly is an undertaking stating?
