Subject: COPR error
hello. we received our COPR last October which will expire this coming June. I only recently noticed that in my son´s COPR the data on his passport´s validity is erroneous. It is written as 12 Sep 2009 on the COPR instead of 12 Apr 2009 as shown in his passport. I sent the COPR and passport back to the embassy to be changed. Did I do the right thing or was it unnecessary? Now I´m worried that it might not be returned to me on time.

I wouldn´t worry. I had a COPR error as well, although the consulate instructed me just to land, where it was then corrected at the border.

But sending it back to the embassy as just as good. They´ll correct it and return it to you. If there´s any question about the COPR expiration date approaching, the embassy should take that into consideration. You may want to contact them about this if you don´t hear back as the expiration date approaches.

thanks (in reply to: COPR error)
Thank you for your reply. I guess I just need reassurance that it will be okay. Somehow, I find it difficult to part with the COPR and passport. =D
