I am a Colombian Citizen, but I received Canadian Residence and I have a permanent resident card. My Colombian passport however has expired and I plan to travel to europe. When re-entering Canada, do I need to renew my Colombian passport? or is my Permanent Resident Card good enough to enter back into Canada?
I appreciate your help, time and advice.

There are two things here.
You have the right to enter Canada and your PR card is what you need. However I do not think that the airline will let you board the airplane with an expired Passport.

Entering Canada with only PR card (in reply to: Permanent Resident Entering Canada) I am just confused because I called immigration canada and they told me that I had to enter canada with my renewed colombian passport and my PR card. But I get other people from immigration canada telling me that all I need is my PR card.
Did immigration canada require me to renew the passport so I can show it to Immigration Canada? or did they mention that because they knew I needed the renewed passport to board the airline?
